What is Remote Monitoring

We install a small program on your computer that allows us to monitor hardware and software. We can even use this program to remote into your computer and help with any issues that may arise. This agent will also perform routine maintenance like updating software, clean up your computer and update Windows.

Viruses and malware exploit vulnerabilities in software. Keeping software up to date is vital to the security of your system. There was a time when conventional wisdom was that updating your computer, broke your computer. I would be lying if I said that no longer happens. But it happens so rarely these days that it is more important to plug the security holes.

Is Antivirus Included?

Yes. We use Bitdefender Antivirus.

Do I really need Offsite Backup?

Local backups are important. They allow you to recover data quickly. But if the building burns down, so does your local backup. You can take these local backups offsite, but sometimes you forget. Sometimes you think someone else is doing it.

If you experience a ransomware issue, the ransomware will most likely encrypt your local backup too. That is why we backup your data offsite, where the ransomware cannot get it.

We include offsite backup with every maintenance plan.

Do you document my Technology assets?

We track everything on your network and document it. We can even provide a report with all your information.

Can you help with our business applications?

Ingram Technology will assist directly with Line-Of-Business (LOB) applications such as QuickBooks. We talk directly to the vendor so there is none of the “Blame Game.” This way, you don’t have to be on the phone talking to someone you don’t understand.

(Valid support contract must be maintained with LOB vendor)

Are all labor cost included?

The maintenance plans include labor for all maintenance related work. For example:

  • Viruses/Malware
  • Hard Drive Failures
  • Power Supply Failures
  • Software Problems
  • New Employee Setups
  • New Desktop Computer Installs
  • Printing Problems
  • Project Consultations


Project work labor is not included in monthly fees. However, all customers on a maintenance plan receive a discounted rate.

Do you provide website and email hosting?

Ingram Technology highly recommends Microsoft 365 for email.

We can host basic POP and IMAP email for our clients with no additional cost. You are welcome to host your website with us, but we offer very little support and absolutely no website design. We recommend that you find a website design company.

Can I use your service to remotely access my work computer?

If your work computer is Windows Pro, we have multiple solutions with no monthly fee depending on your network hardware.

If your computer is Windows Home, you will need additional software. That will require an additional monthly fee.

Do you offer 24/7 Emergency Support?

All of our managed services customers can contact us anytime, night or day, even on Sundays.
